I have searched the Internet far and wide for a solution and have not found any that help me (or at least that I understand). Many suggest that I need to make sure that the TinyMCE option is activated or turned on in the settings. I have looked and looked and do not see any setting to activate or turn on TinyMCE. I only have one plugin installed. It is the one that came with WordPress and is called Akismet 2.2.3. I have tried deactivating it and then flushing out my browser cache as described above but this does not help. I have tried my site in both Firefox 3 and IE7 but neither one will show me anything other than the HTML editor. I think I have located the code where the TinyMCE editor is supposed to be added. the post.php file located in the /wp-admin/includes/folder has text starting in line 1108 that says, "Adds the TinyMCE editor used on the Write and Edit screens." I don't know if I need to modify this in some way (and if I do need to modify it, I'd have no idea what I should modify it to). Does anybody have a clue as to why the TinyMCE visual editor just will not work at all in WordPress 2.7? If so, I'd love to hear how you'd fix it.
